In 1996, a simple hammock marked the beginning of it all. Friends John Sims-Hilditch and Giles Redman ventured into business, initially focusing on selling hammocks. To their astonishment, the duo managed to sell over 5,500 hammocks in their inaugural year, a success that exceeded even their own expectations!

In 1997, they took their passion for gardens to the next level and expanded their range. But it didn’t stop there. In 2002, they had a lightbulb moment when they realised that gardens in the UK are seasonal. Armed with their expertise in crafting beautiful tables and chairs, they decided to bring the same impact indoors and revolutionise people’s interiors. They understand that your home is not just a place to live but also a reflection of your unique style, and they’re here to help you create a space that is as friendly and inviting as you are.

In 2008, they embarked on a journey to create kitchens that would become the envy of Instagram. Whether you choose an authentic Neptune design or one that draws inspiration from their collection, their kitchens are sure to delight and inspire.

In 2010, they took the bold step of expanding their business to include a range of home accessories. This decision turned out to be the secret ingredient that led to their incredible success. Although the snowfall in the UK may not be as frequent or heavy as it was during my time in Canada, I often yearn to experience a snowy encounter just outside the Canterbury showroom. And why? I know that stepping into their establishment would mean immersing myself in a world where meticulously adorned bedrooms rival those of luxurious 5-star hotels.
